My name is Maxim Schiefer from Germany. I discovered photography for myself in order to make certain things tangible that otherwise only take place in my head. I was born in Gerolstein in 1991. 2019 was a very dark year for me. So in December I decided to quit my job and book a flight to Japan, hoping to deal with my demons. My camera accompanied me all the way down.
