Captured on a rainy evening in Shinjuku, this image uses shadow, movement, and stark contrasts to explore the quiet isolation that can exist within one of the world’s busiest cities. The fleeting silhouette becomes less a portrait of a person than a reflection on transience, anonymity, and the poetic moments hidden within everyday urban life.
Biography
Sara is an emerging multidisciplinary artist working across photography, motion art, and mixed media. She has been recognised as a finalist in prestigious Australian art awards, participated in group exhibitions internationally, and featured in a range of photographic magazines. She recently completed her first collection of music videos for RIDE bassist Steve Queralt.
Committed to continually evolving her creative practice, Sara began a Master’s degree in Creative Industries at the Australian College of the Arts in 2026.
